The Shakujiikoen Furusato Museum was opened in March 2010 at a location adjacent to Shakujii Park, which is rich in nature and history.
Here, visitors can enjoy learning about the history, traditional culture, and nature of Nerima city. In addition, the museum also provides tourist information.
Photos of birds, insects, and plants found around the museum are displayed here, along with famous sites in Nerima city and traditional crafts.
Paintings, photographs, and other works by city residents can be found here.
Several times a year, temporary exhibitions on various themes are held here.
The library has a collection of books on local history, folklore, and nature.
Here, you can learn about the history of Nerima city. There are also exhibits that you can interact and play with.
